Isn't it amazing what $25 will buy! Please consider joining CECA and adding your voice to your colleagues' to promote the integration of technology in Connecticut schools. The membership year runs from May 1 through April 30, CECA's fiscal year. Contact CECA's for more information.

 

Membership dues help underwrite the costs of CECA's many activities and events. These include, but are not limited to:

  • The Annual CECA Conference, the only major educational technology conference in the state of Connecticut, which attracts over 750 educators and 50 vendors annually. Many of the presentations are done by teachers who integrate technology into their classrooms. The 25th Annual Conference, CECA 2005, was held, Monday, October 24, 2005.
  • The Annual Legislative Technology Exposition, at which teams of students and teachers are invited from Connecticut schools to demonstrate how students use technology to support the learning process. Demonstrations also show how the incorporation of technology into the curriculum supports the skills tested on the CMT and the CAPT and prepares students for future work place skills. This year's Twelfth Annual Legislative Technology Exposition will be held on April 5, 2006 at the Legislative Building in Hartford, CT.
  • Conferences and seminars
  • CECA Newsletter, published a minimum of five times annually.
  • Access to the CECA Online Membership Directories.
  • The cost of maintaining the CECA website ()
  • Discounts on CECA conferences and seminars and ISTE membership.

CECA Board members also work on a variety of statewide committees and with other statewide organizations to advance the use of technology in Connecticut schools. These committees and organizations include , CASCD (Connecticut Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development), the developed by the state RESCs (ACES, CES, CREC, Education Connection, EASTCONN, and LEARN) and Department of Education, the CT Math, Science, & Technology Leadership Council (sponsored by the for Education in Mathematics, Science & Technology). CECA Board members have also assisted with the reading of CT state infrastructure grant proposals.
